Licking The Spoon

June 2006
This was James' first time licking the spoon. Don't worry, it's not raw dough of any sort. It's fudge. Pure sugar, no uncooked eggs involved!
Oh, and he licked that spoon CLEAN!

It's Mardi Gras!

June 2006
James loves to wear this necklace around the house. He made it at his friends' Birthday Party. When he was still teething (his canines), it was great for gum relief.

Apppppowwww

June 2006
That's how James says "Apple". He loves apples. But he only eats them whole.

A Day At The Spa

Uhhhh...I Didn't Do It Mom....

May 2006
Jessica's First Communion
That's what this picture says to me. Classic "Deer in the Headlights".

James Is A Big Boy Now

May 2006
James sits at the table to eat now. No more high chair. He skipped right ove rthe whole booster seat idea. We had used one a couple of times at a friend's house. But, James was much happier (and just as capable) eating when sitting right in the chair. So, that's what he does now. He seems to eat much better in my opinion. He never liked being confined to the high chair.
Oh, and that little toy you see is "Leap". He sings the Alphabet Song. James likes to carry him around, constantly pressing Leap's belly. James calls him "A B"...

James' First Sand Castle

April 2006
There is a park in the town next to us that James loves to play at. For Easter, Bonnie gave him a pail and shovel set. This was our first chance to use it!

Working on My Camera...

I have to find the drivers to load my camera on my computer. We wiped it and did not return them. So, in the meantime I wanted to fill you in on some of James' favorite words. He is learning to talk soooo much! He babbles constantly. Sometimes he holds a phone to his ear and just walks around talking on it. I swear, no kidding at all, that I don't know how he got that idea. I am not a phone person, neither is Art. Our son has created his own genetic trait with that one!!

Anyhow, here's the list of James' frequent words (in no specific order):

bah-bah
sock
shoe
on
off
remote (OK - that one is definitely our fault!)
hello/hi
Blue's Clues
Oh no!
No Way!
Oh man!
milk
Please
Thank You (which he says when he gives YOU something)
Bless me (which he says when YOU sneeze)
bath
kitty kitty
All done
eyes
nose
lotion (This is quite the site! He lifts his leg on the toilet and puts it on his legs, just like mommy!)
color
water
pa-pa ("Grandpa")
ball

And I'm sure a ton others that I just don't remember now. Soon he'll be talking in sentences, we just know it!!
